Slightly Faster Move Speed

Post by Flashlight237 » Sat Dec 28, 2019 8:35 am

Hey there. So, something that came into mind recently... It takes some seriously precise timing to jump the very first gap in the game from the ledge you're supposed to jump from. Sure, increasing the jump height would make sense, but that might lead to more concerns over out-of-bounds jumps. Instead, I shall propose an alternate solution: increasing the movement speed.

Currently, as I've measured with the "double picnic table" in Teplar Pond, a player moves at a base movement speed of 1 table per second. I suggest a base movement speed increase to 1.25 tables per second, a 25% increase in movement speed. That way, the very first gap in the game can be jumped without the need for precise timing.

Figured this should be useful.

Also, Pteunia spawn times are 1 minute and 30 seconds; I timed it. Speed it up: https://eliatopia.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=175

Honestly there should be a dash button, Like in Helmet heroes.
Should it use mp? That's up to robby
It depends on what robby wants his game plan to play out.

I do plan on adding a run ability in the near future. I may also be adding a skill to increase movement speed as well. I may add a weight property into equips that will slow players movement down as well, but we'll have to see about this one.

If you do plan on that one, warrior/wizard are going to need some ranged skills, else they will pretty much lose their kills to archer and gunman
