Please remove the red flashing screen.

This feature is nothing but just a headache. I can see where this is getting at, but making the entire screen a flash of death was not the best idea. If anything, when getting hit, it should make the player's health bar shake, or something along the lines of that.

I completely agree. The red flashing can really be quite painful for the eyes.

Ok, for the update later this week I will have it turned down a bit, so the red flash is a bit less prominent.
