The equipped items could be stored instead in the equipped items UI.

Similar to many games, it shows the slots for items, and you put them into their respective slots. You decide if the equipped items can be seen or they remain invisible.

There could be a cosmetic UI in addition to that equipment UI, the items placed on this cosmetic UI are the ones displayed on the character.
Only weapons can´t be equipped there, as weapons work quite differently.

This allow aesthetic customization for the character.

ive suggested something similar to the cosmetic thing like a year ago lol but bump still.

i support this, it gives players an expanded way of customizing their character. i.e, if i wanna put on a banana suit while still wearing my armor.
