A Different Switch for the Drawbridge?

I mean the pressure plate will do fine for just the cage, but how about a lever that lets us get through the bridge at any point? I don't want the story to get held up assuming we ARE going to the Alion City Nature Factory from the HH area. Granted people are going to be more concerned about farming mandrakes in the Nature Factory than actually going through with the story, but still.

Thought the factory would be west of the railroad, and that the HH throwback was just an optional area .... huh

If that was optional, why does the changelog say "Story does not progress past tropical area?"

I think a good idea would be to add a level requirement of like 50 to open the gate and a tunnel from the inside that you can jump out of (but can't get in through) so it's useable instead of having to abuse glitches/ refresh the game to exit the cage 99% of the time.

Not yet, but a new construction worker npc tells you to find a ninja in the tropical area and he'll let you through to the Alion Nature Factory.
