Desktop version says virus
if u could do smting abt that would be great
Re: Desktop version says virus
I can assure you it doesn't not have any viruses.
One reason I believe this is happening is because some anti-virus software uses a database of how often the given piece of software was ran by other people. So far, since it's new, it has no good reputation yet. So I believe they are marking it as potentially 'unsafe". Hopefully once enough people allow it, it won't continue to do this anymore. in the meantime, I'm still going to see if there's a way I can keep this from popping up.

I went and checked Windows Defender. It's apparently a Trojan called "Wacatac," whatever that is: http://prntscr.com/xrv5uz
Re: Desktop version says virus
O.o Well that is super odd. I'll see if I can check what the heck that is about. I didn't get that notification exactly, so that is rather odd.

Re: Desktop version says virus
Well, here's how I got it. I left Windows Defender open so I can catch a virus just as one pops up. When the download thing says "Virus Detected," I brought up the Windows Defender window and there it was under the "Current Threats" section.
Re: Desktop version says virus
@flashlight You're sure that "Wacatac" thing was associated with the Eliatopia download though?

Re: Desktop version says virus
Anything that is seen as the file type .exe from a anti virus is seen as a virus just because .exe are usually programs that contain viruses but as robby said in a post this game doesn't contain any virus all game clients are .exe so your fine

Ok, very strange. Either way it's safe, but I do need to get rid of the warning somehow. I'll have to figure out what the best way for that is tomorrow. Or perhaps it will go away as more people download it, I'm not entirely sure yet.

I'd take the precaution just in case.
